CEO Heritage Alliance, lover of aged things, mother. Trustee Egypt Exploration Society, advisory Canal & River Trust & Historic Environment Forum. Views my own.
This month we were invited to the launch of @bbcarts new Civilisations: Rise and Fall at the BM. We met artefact stars of the show (the Aztec Codex - wow!) & saw a preview - it will be well worth a watch. BBC 2 on Monday 24th. Public service broadcasting matters…

A pair of great reads so far these holidays. The first - unexpectedly wonderful. Lives connected from Mesopotamia to the Thames via the memory of water. The second, a Historic Houses book club choice - a family grappling with inheritance, rewilding & contested heritage.

The cathedral is worth a visit - not least to see the Morris, De Morgan & Burne Jones windows & textiles. Loved the invitation to the loom and the installation through wool charting climate change from the 19th Century.

Good to visit Bradford Cathedral today. Some wonderful local examples of community & youth engagement particularly through textiles and art, bringing to life the wool industry of the area in Bradford’s oldest building. Bradford is City of Culture 2025 & their first heritage festival starts tomorrow
