Partner fell from high height, uninsured at the time. I remember EMS transport to helipad was about 1k and life flight was about 40k; can’t recall surgeon amount but hospital bill was larger than all the other bills combined. No rehab facility, crowdfunded PT, and bankruptcy within the year.
