I write words. Sometimes good ones, but mostly I write words that need endless revisions. I draw stuff. Posting about autism, art, reading, and writing. She/her.
It definitely makes me more likely to drop my mask and act more autistic. But, then I do stuff like stim--i suppress most movement when sober--and then I feel better. It also helps dull some of the sensory stimuli I have difficulty with.

If you feel any guilt about ABA, please remember you did the best you could with the knowledge you had. And thank you for speaking out.

Socks are the worst. Except those soft fuzzy ones with moisturizer in them the pharmacy used to sell. I LOVED them. Can't find them anymore.

Oh, yes, I see how you got that--sorry.

No. The police were 100% designed to keep you down.

When I was a kid, they had all those programs where cops would come to our school to talk to us about how we could trust them, and get help from them. I guess I believed them.

Privilege meant believing them didn't affect me much.

I get that--and I'm not trying to suggest anyone else adopt bandwidth. I'm just saying it works better for me, when describing myself.

I have had meltdowns in public, and have been tackled by police (Canada). Bruises, not bullet wounds. I have no doubt that if I were BIPOC, I wouldn't be alive--so many "wellness" checks end in murder. No one should have to be afraid of the people who were supposed to protect us.

Huh. YouTube kept recommending me his videos. I tried a few times to watch him, but found him too obnoxious. So I told YouTube not to recommend him anymore. Had no idea he was a gamergate type.

Her making fun of "yankees" always seemed to be friendly teasing. But, the 90's were a long time ago and I don't remember much. I do remember her saying "the South will rise again", though...but that was a pretty common thing for Southern characters to say back then.

It may just be my attempts at visualizing it. I see my mother's cutlery drawer, overflowing with spoons, and the backup cutlery in her spare room.
