It was obvious Rice wanted the yellow to get out of the way now vs. having to miss a game in next stage. How else can you explain him grabbing an opponent around the stomach in the 92nd min of a 3-1 game?

Recommend ordering Asian Vegetarian special meal option on any outbound Heathrow flight, all kitchens staffed with Indian origin chefs who know what they are doing.

Lowering taxes is easy, make heroic assumptions about spending cuts when the other guy could be in power (like Hunt did).

Which party will cut spending? Can the triple lock, for instance.

Once did TLS-LHR on BA, the gate was next to U2 TLS-LGW departure. It was chaos on BA side, they didn't bother with priority boarding for Elites. U2 was organized, those with priority did get priority. And onboard U2 is much better, both hard and soft product.

When I moved from US to UK a long time ago, did the VS EWR LHR day flight on a VS A346 in PE. Perfect for travelling with a 10 month old.

Got to flat by 10pm in a minicab and slept. No jet lag.

Goods buying moved to internet, what's left are services & these need people/density. NIMBYs good at stop stopping new houses, hence low density. Those left have high housing costs (mortgage, rents), little disposable income.

All goes back to deliberate strangling of supply by current homeowners.

When/ if a different admin wants investigate the crimes this admin has done/ will do, you can guarantee the Republicans will shamelessly object claiming "they are being political" and that "we should look forward and not the past". They did this when people wanted to investigate W's Iraq adventure.

Darn furriners coming here and taking proper English cricketing jobs that we don't want our people to do.

I listened to your episode on the Football War last night. Nothing has changed.

Actually IHT would help the farmer. Rich people looking to park money will be less interested in adjoining fields and so he can afford to buy additional land to scale up.

Given total lack of density, the PO will be gone soon. Nursery closed as anybody family of child bearing age can't afford to live there.

Farm will be fine, except for the farmer moaning about a multi million valued "asset" that yields < 1%.

Authoritarian govts are usually friends to big business - can be bought off and suppress workers' rights. There is an illusion of stability - no budget events that could change taxation or people voting to exit trade deals.

You see this in Middle East now and when firms lamented the HKG protests.

A solution to add supply without touching nature or green spaces is gentle density all over; 4-5 floors everywhere, like in Paris or Berlin.

If the objectors to new housing are genuinely concerned about "nature" and green spaces, they would strongly this.

They don't. They protest these too.

Where I live, NW London, a petition was signed by 52K people objecting to flats on scrub land next to tube tracks because of “possible impact on a badger sett”. Delayed project by 2 years.

The Planning System is broken.

People become biodiversity fans once *their* house is built.

There are also..

Stopping at the intersection of the corridor and platform, blocking everybody else's access to the platform

Standing at the bus exit door while the rest of the bus has loads of space

And more recently playing your mobile phone aloud

All boil down to lack of self awareness

And most of them stand at the exit door of buses blocking those getting out; there is plenty of space in the bus - many open seats - but there is a magnetic attraction to stand at the door (while wearing a backpack for added punch).

He said all the right things about being pro YIMBY and enabling 1.5M houses but chickened out. What’s the point of a large majority of you aren’t going to use it.

Pay in procurement departments in private companies is 3x what the government pays, any wonder the state is so bad at it.
