Do not talk to ANY law enforcement without a lawyer! Be courteous. Be friendly. Politely decline. Watch a few episodes of "The First 48", the guys that lawyer up immediately are the ones that walk away or get a fair deal. You can tell by the way the cops high five when the suspect talks it's bad
