ANYWAY... I've been seriously considering putting my current VN game (Midnight Kingdom) on pause to work on one of these games. MK started small and spiraled into something huge. Coding will be easier too.

Anyway, we kind of RP it as if the route the other person picks is the "true route". So it's kind of a fun contest for influence over the story in that way 😂

honestly I hesitate to call it dating sim, it's more shipping sim 😂 I feel like dating sim implies the MC is a blank slate for the player and I personally dislike that. I'm not knocking that, I get why it's popular and I've played a ton of dating sims... but the blank slate MC does nothing for me.

We started a tradition 3 years ago for fall where we both set up a dating sim style game where the other person plays the MC and has to choose a partner while put into some horror movie/mystery scenario.
It's been really fun and we both do a game each year
