weird people fall in love with each other all the time
1st panel: A dismal, awkwardly warmly lit hotel / convention center panel room like what you would see in the 90s or 2000s. Lanyards of past conventions and their years are on a corkboard. --- Original art piece idea by @mIdrux on Twitter, but I and others were disappointed they drew it with mean-spirited intentions.. even calling the kidfur character a "diddyblud" (yes. verbatim) and getting wrapped up in "proship discourse." I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.

Worked up a poster for Sinners - that cross section of horror movies, period pieces, and roots music checks an awful lot of my boxes, and heavens but it was beautifully made.
A desaturated blue (just glancing at green from across the street), black, and yellow-orange poster. It features Miles Caton in the middle playing his guitar, shadowed faces of Michael B. Jordan on either side of him (with the Stack character sporting the orange echoed elsewhere for his gold tooth). At the bottom, in heavy shadows, is the vampire band, and behind them, silhouettes lit by flame, are line-dancing figures with glowing eyes. Their shape suggests that a few of them are characters from the movie: Mary, Pearline, Cornbread, and Bo Chow. There are credits, an R rating, and a Warner Brother's logo at the bottom and above the film's title (done in an old timey flashy saloon font that might befit a juke joint) is the text "A film by Ryan Coogler."
