Hi. Lovely to see your own original art on the platform. This is one of mine. I am happier with more ‘interesting’ faces than a pretty young woman: I find those faces particularly challenging, as you can see.

2025 is going to be my creative year. I started the natural turn of the year by making cards and have set up a studio space for portraits and perhaps landscapes to come. Exciting! Who’s with me?

I went to one in the Western Isles a few years ago. The journey up was in mist all the way; no glorious landscapes, just hazy grey shapes. Then, on the first morning, mist turned white & snow fell. By the end of the morning the sun lit up the topography, magically transforming it.

I know which Boston you mean, but my thoughts on reading the name immediately goes to a childhood of climbing Boston Stump and trout fishing nearby. That was a time when a ‘Farmers Market’ meant where farmers sold livestock.

I’ve taken up Art after a 40 year gap, excepting a few months’ evening classes 30 years ago. Tiny local exhibition required framing-up. Scary!
