My old rear rack cracked, so I got a new one and reinforced it with metal rebar and epoxy. This new rack with reinforcements could probably carry over a 100 lbs now compared to it's original 50 lb max rating 💪 #HerclesBikes
This is a photo of me holding my new rear rack up to the camera. I had already begun adding the metal rebar around the welded contact points. In the picture, you can see the rebar contrasted against the bare metal where i had ground off the racks black paint This is a photo of me holding the completed rack with reinforcements. I epoxied over the rebar, so the rebar is no longer visible under the black epoxy. One of the reinforcments is facing the camera, the reinforcement is hard aluminum tubing cut so that it wraps arounf the racks tubingm the aluminum tube reinforcement is held together with a worm gear tube tightened. This is a photo showing the bottom portion of the rack, where it connects with the rear wheel's axel. This portion of the rack is reinforced with aluminum tubing over rebar wound around epoxy, the tubing is held onto the rack with a few worm fear tube tighteners, and the tubing is formed to conform to the rack's contours. The tubing is polished aluminum contrasted against the black rack.

Arrived into the Denver Colorado valley area over the high plains, and I got my first glimpse of The Rockey Mountains at sunset ☀️ #HerclesPillars
