It looks like they're gearing up to Brian having a heart attack & dying with the farm management unresolved
How can he decide when the only one capable of managing it is Debbie? Or a non-family manager like Stella

A total misogynist. And selfish. And manipulative. But not like Rob. Who was inadequate in all respects & took this out on Helen & others.
Brian's character is confident in himself, but regrets his frailties. I've really enjoyed him over the years. Will be sad when he leaves.

Yes I think they will write that. People can be rehabiliated. In reality a character like George is likely to stay as he is - just learn to hide his anger/selfishness better.

I think it was meant to be "us". Imagine yourself as the Police officer and the thoughts that might go through your head.
So it was reminding us of all the doubts we have about the key characters - not a proper set of interviews.

I think the key difference is that Brian is a character some of us would secretly like to be.
Whereas George is a character that none of us would ever want to be ( I hope)
