Welcome to Herb Garden Manor it's not a location but a place my heart for all of the hamsters I've raised and loved.
I've been a prep cook for over a decade so I've decided to name all of my hamsters after herbs. Looking forward to sharing all of the moments and memories that make this garden grow.
I'm going to miss Basil so much. I've mourn properly, the next step is to prepare for our next hamster, Sage.

The theme of Basil's first and only birthday was " Basil is ONE happy camper"
We gave him carrot baby food and lettuce for the first time, along with all of his other favorite treats. He stayed in his playpen for a whole 30 min!!! that's forever for a hamster.

I loved his sweet face I loved his bubble tea eyes I loved his tiny hands and how he took such small poliet bites. I loved Basil so much. he looked like a dollop of orange pudding with chocolate chips.

People were always really comfy seder about how big Basil was so I would show them these pictures. He always looked so small outside of his enclosure but so big inside of it.

It took Basil MONTHS to finally break the walnut. I love hearing him gnaw on it for hours every day like a dog with a bone.

Basil slept under the frame of his wheel so a lot of the time he would be above the bedding and just be angry that the sun was out.

Bail was mostly good in his carrier, he only chewed the sides a little bit.

This was his favorite toy, a rattan ball, Basil loved it so much i would often have to break some of it so he wouldn't get his head stuck. I wish I could have given him more.

It also took Basil a long time to run on his wheel, he wasn't used to the larger wheel and kept sliding forward for a few months.
He was never much of a runner though and preferred to dig in his burrows

Basil was always really good about using his sand box, it was so cute to watch him dig
