I've been working with Rescue Dogs more than half my life. Most people don't realize how dire the situation is. I encourage anyone to look into how you can help. There are countless ways to make a difference. Every bit of help counts in improving the lives of these dogs.

Want a dog but can't commit to a full lifespan? Foster pups until they find homes or to give them breaks from the shelter. Adopting senior dogs is another option, as they have fewer days left.

Not into touching dogs but still want to help? You can donate to vet clinic bills, rescues, and shelters. Or support efforts to fight breed-specific legislation by supporting vicious dog laws and responsible ownership which makes your communities safer.

My friend is terminal. She's been in the hospital so much lately and she misses her kitty. She is so far away and I can't give her the hugs she deserves. Her cat Tippy is in on it so she has him everywhere and every time she wraps this blanket around her it's a hug from us.
