However I think Korean drama doesn't promote the alcohol drinking, it only shows the realistic drinking culture in the society, and even if Korean drama deletes the drinking scenes, the drinking culture will be still emerged.

However, manga is totally different from their own culture, which is originated from the Eastern and Japan, a culture they have never encountered before can be very novel. so when Westerners feel bored with familiarity, manga can bring novelty.
