The calendar is turning to August, but our work will not stop. Every month should be about breaking the silence around women’s health.

Here’s what shocked me: By age 49, over 84% of Black women and 70% of white women will have fibroids. That’s our mothers, sisters, daughters, and friends—often suffering in silence.

As @kamalaharris.com said to me over the phone, “History has found you for a purpose! You may be the first to do many things, but make sure you are not the last.” Standing there, surrounded by fellow champions of equality, I felt the unstoppable force of a movement that refuses to be silenced!

Even through the rain, our voices rose together in unity, carrying a powerful message: the fight for progress in Virginia and across this nation continues with unwavering determination.
