Sune's catching stats are more interesting: when she caught Linsey Smith she went past Dane Van Niekerk to become SA-W's greatest ODI catching-fielder & moved up to #8 all-time in terms of fielder catches across all 3 formats.

Coincidentally, this is new & claims that bad AI confabulates rather than hallucinates: "Faulty Artificial Intelligence, or the Sleep of Reason" by G. Wiest and O.H. Turnbull NEJM AI 2025;2(11) DOI: 10.1056/AIp2500785 #Science

Totally agree with Sadness-nexus - great video essay. Did you see that Pez recently broke the not-outs record for women's ODI World cups? In 10/11 of these, AUS-W won & the only loss was way back in 2009 in Ellyse's first world cup match.

In terms of opportunities presented, most of Richa's dismissals - catches & stumpings amazingly - have been taken in NZ; whereas in India & Sri Lanka she has relatively few.

Yes & if they selected her just as a batter they might need to "hide" her in the field somewhere...

Yes, I agree that might be part of it. In my mind, Richa is skillful enough & pretty competent without too many clangers. Maybe another factor is the number of different ODI bowlers IND-W have used so, apart from Deepti, Richa hasn't had the opportunity to build bowler-keeper partnerships?
