It showed us that games could be cinematic in a way we'd never seen. Playing it is like hopping in a time machine and watching modern game staples being invented in real time.
It still holds up and needs to be experienced.

I'm right back in my bedroom playing Shenmue over winter break during Junior year of high school. It's nice and cool outside. I didn't know it then, but it was one of the best times I'd ever have.
I know I can't go back, but I'll hold onto the memories. ✨

Seeing/hearing this is still bittersweet.

Fun Fact: I literally saved this from the trash when I worked at FuncoLand in 2002, along with a couple other CIB games that the original owner threw into the trash bin outside because we couldn't take them at the time.

This is still not only the best TMNT movie, but just an overall great film PERIOD. It's dark, gritty, and action-packed, but has so much heart in it too.
