Such regs might incentivise reduction of some sources of CH4 emissions but there are a no. of sources for CH4 emissions along the chain incl eg shipping (Howarth 2024).
So cld help slightly reduce upstream Scope 3 for existing gas combustion sites.
But there shld be no new gas combustion projects!
