My bold New Year prediction, well actually not so bold, Monty gets 2-3 starts, shows no improvement. The Habs shop him around and some team trades a middle round draft pick on him in the hopes that a change of scenery will help. He kicks around for maybe another season, and he’s done.

The eye test tells me he’s not good, the stats back it up, but unfortunately because of injuries he’s what we have at the moment

I always felt sorry for Saku Koivu, fans today don’t realize what an amazing player he was before the injuries took their toll. He was largely alone though.

I’m of the opinion that he is a very average NHL goaltender, and what you see is pretty much it.

I think we have to accept this is Monty. He’s not stealing any games, the Habs have to cut down the high end scoring chances against and hope Monty makes the majority of the rest. I get the frustration, I really miss Carey!
