It is *weird*, but not contradictory to them. Conservatives believe that gender roles are binary and immutable, and the mere existence of queer people destabilizes that, and therefore their whole conception of humanity.

No, it isn't, and certainly not for all people. You concede that by adding conditions (e.g. after puberty) that were not given beforehand.

This is also assuming that trans women do have an advantage over cis women, which is not a given as you imply.

Notice that I said include trans women in sports (even if you think they should play in a separate category). Not a single one of these self-proclaimed protectors of women ever deal with this. Their only agenda is to exclude trans people from sports, and from public life, altogether.

The hell you are. If you were, you would try to engage the issue honestly and, at the very least, try to suggest ways to include trans women in sports (your joining of the words is quite telling, btw). Your sole focus is excluding them, though, so you aren't fooling anyone.

I find it quite telling that neither Aryna Rowling here, nor any of the others who give statements like this ever follow up by suggesting ways of including trans athletes in pro sports. It almost makes you think that excluding them is the whole point (gobs of sarcasm intended).

My mom was a math teacher (retired in the 90s) and she used to advise me against becoming a teacher myself (in the end, I didn't). It kinda bothered me back then, but thinking in hindsight I can understand where she was coming from.

I mean, it's fine for someone to be a bit of a crank, I guess. But you cannot say you want to foster discussion and enjoyment of classical music while suppressing anything that is not fawning, uncritical admiration.

I have just read your piece and enjoyed it a lot. I also unsubscribed from him a while ago, although for somewhat different reasons. It bothered me how intolerant he has become of any disagreement, however mildly worded. I cannot take someone with that thin-skinned attitude seriously.
