The fur market is worth billions, endangered wildlife species are still being slaughtered to fuel the fashion industry against international law. Alligators & Crocodiles are used for there scales as are Pangolins, Elephant & Rhino ivory is still in high demand and big cats too. @rusi.bsky.social

More exotic species are exported around the world & taken from their natural habitats to be sold as forms of entertainment, in the exotic pet trade, food production or used as accessories for fashion. The Cobra is trafficked for its scales, skin, medicine & as an exotic pets.

Praising the Gaurda Siochana and there work with Interpol, the United Nations OCD, Europeans to protect the European Otter under Irish law by the Wildlife Act 1976, protecting and conserving these incredible species is so important to biodiversity. Interesting read.
