In loving memory of Mrs. Chippy, who left me on the 9th. of August this year. I've experienced losing a pet (close friend is more precise) before, but is once again surprised at how much it hurts. Sov godt, lille Chips.

Picture concentrates on the head of a Aeshna grandis, a big, brown dragonfly from Norway, Northern Europe. It's mainly brown, but has also got some startlingly blue and yellow on it's body. The manyfaceted eyes can make it seem to smile.

A mandarin duck (Aix galericulata), a rare guest here in Norway, but I was lucky to see this one some five years ago, just outside Oslo.
