yes they do, if the bottle is ever on its side.

this is better for oils, as it's not rubber.

i also prefer these for tinctures...

hi guys,
here's a calendar page for january 2025.

the herb on there is onion, i like it a lot for coughs and congestion and things.

a chopped up onion in a bowl by the bed will clear the airways something fierce.

🤗

also, i run a fab distance course on herbs, join me there! 🏵️🌿🌼

this week's herb: #elecampane, Inula helenium.

Christopher Hedley taught that it's good for elfshot: when elves shoot you w their arrows, all your energy leaks away.

also good to stop dancing w the elf queen.

---
i use it a lot for grief, coughs, gut problems, in teas or (for coughs), as a syrup.

traditional persian chamomile oil.

here's the result, after 2 hours of boiling strong chamomile tea thru oil.

i got a little under 500 ml of the oil, and the remains of the tea, rather tar-like.

i'll slop that black gunk on the compost heap ... tomorrow.

the oil is fab. i shall treasure it.
December 17, 2024 at 7:55 PM
and here i added 500 ml of organic sesame oil.

now it'll boil for 2 hours, making the strong tea bubble through the oil.

i'll check on it every 20-30 minutes, until it's almost done, then i'll watch it like a hawk, the final minutes.

traditional persian chamomile oil

i ended up adding quite a bit of water while this was boiling. a total of 5 liters, for 300 g dried chamomile flowers (Matricaria recutita) (organic).

after boiling for 3 hours, i pressed the liquid out thru a cloth, little by little. i got about 1 liter.

making a traditional persian chamomile oil.

lol the recipe says 600 g chamomile flowers and 3.6 liter water.

my biggest pot took 300 g chamomile flowers, and 1.8L water barely covers the bottom.

i wonder if the iranians use fresh chamomile?
anyway, i added about 2L water. now it will boil 3 h.

good morning all,

how i use elecampane:

i use elecampane in tea blends or syrups for lung things, and chewed or in teas for the digestion, and as a grounding herb.

very good for grief, too.
and for elfshot, but that's tomorrow's topic. so little room for text here 😅
December 17, 2024 at 4:59 AM
here's the same root. you can see how big it is. 😊
December 16, 2024 at 1:13 PM
good morning all,

elecampane week

here's a photo of a root, about 3 years old, dug up.

it looks small, right? its pretty big for a 3 year old root.

i'll put a different pic of the same root in the comments. 🤗

echinacea week

e. purpurea vs angustifolia and pallida

purp got widely used after a german company got the wrong seed, early 1900s.

they ordered angustifolia and received purpurea.
planted, grew for a year or three, umm, no taproot ... lets use this anyway.

ech purp worked, and is easy to grow.

good morning 🤗

more echinacea pics.

take echinacea if you get any type of influenza.
it helps keep annoying and/or dangerous post-flu diseases (like pneumonia) away.

also stay in bed for a full 7 days if you have the flu and not just a headcold.

good morning 🤗

another pretty echinacea photo.

it comes from the prairie of north america, so needs well-drained soil and chalk.

weed around it, give it sun, and it will amaze you.

good morning

echinacea week

so pretty!

Bioforce/Vogel of Switzerland did some research on it, a few years ago.

it was then effective against all influenza viruses, except for adeno.

the best prep was found to be fresh green parts.

small doses often are better than large doses rarely.

new try, herb card, nutmeg.

also very good for premature ejaculation. for both insomina and that:

1/4 tsp a day for a week, if it doesn't help, 1/2 tsp/day for a week, if it doesn't work, 3/4 tsp/day for a week, if it doesn't work, 1 tsp/day for a week, if it doesn't work it's not the right herb.
