Ahhh I'm happy so many of you like Kiki!

Here are two other lemur characters of mine (for ref I guess) that appear way more rarely... Lindy and Hop the blue-eyed lemurs.
They were designed with the idea to make costumes in mind, which we did in 2011!
All this art is 14+ years old, I think...

Today is the last day of Lightbox, if you're there you can pick up my sketchbook at Stuart Ng's booth, no. 122!

Managed to edit the levels of a scan of the aye-aye picture in a way that these card prints represent the original pretty well.
I need to get some nice glass for the frame, since the current one is cheap and dims/alters the colors quite a bit.

I won't be at Lightbox Expo (I wish!) but if all goes well, my little sketchbook will be for sale at Stuart Ng's booth.

It'll be a version that's produced locally, with a printed cover, so I don't have to ship 150 hand drawn ones across the ocean.

I picked a cover I sketched during a con recently.

Hi just dumping some pictures of Kiki here so I have something to link to when people want refs.
You can also just google a photo of a ring-tailed lemur

Cute little Vekoma coaster. Quiet as a mouse!

Went to the opening ceremony of a brand new indoor theme park today. That's a first!

Age yourself with a film you saw in the cinema as a kid

I think this is the first movie I saw in a cinema. The hospital scene scared me.

(It's because it apparently has a gag page by me in it, which would be cool to see. The one with DUCK TWACY cameo)

Would anyone here be able to purchase this September 20th issue of the Chinese Mickey Mouse magazine?

I finally added my patches and pins to the webshop, they haven't been available online for 15 years. Hope it works!

Worldwide shipping is more affordable for the next week while I'm still in the Netherlands.

I cannot ship any patches and pins to the US, I'm sorry!

I'm not kidding, haha.
The old videos have far more views because there was simply way less to look at. I think my filmed-monitor-with-a-compact-camera videos might have been the only Disney fan art time lapse videos on that site at some point.

Ahh, the end of the week really snuck up on me and I completely forgot to mention anywhere that I'll be at Stripfestival Breda this Saturday and Sunday!
I just arrived in the Netherlands and am packing up a few of the brand new pins that just came in, for anyone who's interested.

I highly recommend buying or renting this. The blu-ray is worth it for the bonus content alone.

As mentioned earlier, Sparks is so cool. Not only did they just release a collab single with Gorillaz, they're also the only guest artist on Splashdance

If you'd still like to catch me in the EF artist alley, please catch me in the next two
hours or so! (I'm on a short break but back soon, Karpour is there to sell things though).

Karpour brought me a gift from the sticker exchange and it's my own friggin drawing haha

Today is my dad's 72nd birthday, and my mom's 70th was last week! I'm abroad so I sent them both a card :)
September 3, 2025 at 3:58 PM
We finished setting up our art show panel this afternoon. Panel 17 with art for sale by @karpour.bsky.social and me, and panel 16 with a bunch of original comic pages and other production art just for fun!
If you're at EF, you can buy charity tickets for the vernissage tonight! #EF29

Ack, I forgot to include two of the images! The close to final steps.
September 2, 2025 at 6:47 AM
I only started out with the markers, the 2nd image already has paint partially over it. The tree is all two markers, just with black going over it.
They're arcylic markers, in this case super cheap ones (box was like 3 bucks) and I hadn't really used them before. Any other brand would probably do.

This is the extra matte black paint I used. I got it a few years ago for this Havank sculpture and other future sculptures I hope to make.
I wanted to try fading it into regular black. On the tail you still see the actual paper.
September 2, 2025 at 6:22 AM
I ended up using the two grey markers for the tree, and white, yellow, magenta, brown, black and extra black acrylic paint.
I get/dig up frames in advance and make the pictures to match. For this one I specifically looked for a black or gray rough wood square frame at the store. Works ok!
