Even though many Jamaicans don’t live in shacks the majority can’t afford solar panels largely because there’s few schemes few loan schemes available . The NHT offers loans but those not in formal employment are ineligible

Not that many Jamaicans can indeed afford to put up solar panels partly because there’s few loan schenes available -the Nht offers loans but if you’re not in formal paid employment you are not eligible
