as is often the case, the review doesn’t mention the individual band-members’ amazing performances but unfortunately dwells at length on the singer, this is par for the course and is the same in every band no matter how big or small; journalists love frontmen. It’s distressing

Sounds awesome. There's so many cool fiddlers and their bands, like Lunasa or Kan. One can never tire of listening to the sound of a fiddle.

Yeah, the solo at the end is basically one chord with some added notes here and there. But it fits the song perfectly.

There's some really good and iconic tracks on that album. And the Bob Clearmountain drum mix is so good. Sadly a great song - Ghost of my Father - was not published on that album being a b-side to Here come the War. Never knew why it did not make it on the album.
