It appears that the covid vaccines increase sensitivity to a specific type of antigen on the cancer cells so the immune system better recognizes it as what the Keytruda says to attack.

Here's a fun fact on the covid vaccines. My oncologist encouraged me to get one within 6 weeks of finishing treatment with Keytruda (immunotherapy) because a recent study showed the combination made the Keytruda even more effective in preventing triple negative breast cancer recurrence.
