Why would a homeless Mother and child be staring into an estate agents window? Unless it’s a set up.

OK. Me and my film partners are looking to option a few scripts. Do you have an agent yet? I’d like to discuss a potential collaboration.

Cheers. We’ve both written, produced, edited and directed many award winning docs. We thought we would torture ourselves with a drama project for a couple of years. We will end up making a documentary about the drama industry. Win/Win!!!

Good question. At myself I suppose. Me and my writing partner are looking for £3 million to produce our latest low budget feature drama. We are delusional.

Us really old folk have got you young folk exactly where we want you. Fighting battles online whilst we rule the real world. You should all read Animal Farm and 1984. They are both available in print. As are nice gardening books.

In LDN yeah! In the north it’s £100 if you have contacts. I helped a mate develop his 20 houses in Hull last year. He couldn’t find any tradespeople at all at any price. My family in LDN were all in heating & ventilating. All retired millionaires now.

Most plumbers retire early because they can charge £100 an hour for emergencies. The trick is to use plastic push fittings and DIY. Even soldering copper takes a day to learn. No plumber wants the pain of a one hour job. They are after entire houses or estates!

Hi there. Have you had any interest in your refugee story?

Are you sure it wasn’t a unemployed sculptor who turned up?

I always think for a long long time before I speak or write. I’m a filmmaker by profession. I also spend all my time researching. But thanks all the same for your advice.

My brother has been in a home for 20 years. My Uncle was in a home for 20 years. What’s that got to do with my point?
I have not celebrated shortening life.
My point is still valid. Longevity is no use if an older person’s life is miserable. The whole point of PH and care is to live well.

You are entitled to your opinion of course. But our care home system is poor. Living longer is no guarantee that anyone lives a healthy life now that dentists are unaffordable and getting to see a doctor is really hard. And waiting two years for operations or 10 hours for an ambulance?
November 21, 2024 at 9:44 AM
Great. Who really wants to live until they are 90 in this bloody awful country? Have you seen the state of our care homes?
