Huge shout-outs to the volunteers, attendees, speakers, vendors (pretty much ransacked mizna), and organizers who created such a special space. I'm making it my personal mission to attend every single one from here on out. Follow Rawi for news about next year!

I was extremely fortunate to share a panel on anthologies as community with Holly (super jealous of her shirt by thedarlingbeast), Susan, and Lisa, all of whose projects far eclipse mine in importance.

I would LOVE to read more Romanian plays/literature. Try Laertes Books, their whole shtick is drama in translation

Also, if you're attending RAWIFest in Houston this weekend (which you should), stop by our panel on anthologies!

Also, we have an ongoing fundraiser if you'd like to support our projects (just saying...) 👀

We're looking for plays of all kinds: 10-minute plays, one-acts, and full-length works written in any language. Don't worry if your play hasn't been translated to English. If we love it, we'll connect you with a translator.

We'll be reviewing submissions through February 2026.

And lastly, we plan to reveal the very first bilingual Kurdish literary magazine based in North America at the end of this year :)

We're also working on the first anthology of contemporary Kurdish plays in English, titled "Who's Afraid of Kurdistan?" We're so glad to be supporting Kurdish playwrights from all around the world.

I'd like to tell you about some of the works we're excited to publish. Our first three novels are going to be English debuts from decorated writers who have had their works published in Turkish, Spanish, Italian, French, Kurmanji, and Arabic.

For as long as I can remember, I've always wanted to create a community for Kurdish writers, translators, and readers. We've received incredible submissions that have been queried to other publishers for years but were turned down due to the difficulty in selling Kurdish literature.

When he wakes at dawn, a voice tells him he will kill someone today. As he moves through the city with a kitchen knife in his pocket, Temo insists he will choose his victim in a life where everything has been chosen for him.

A celebrated Kurdish translator of Dostoevsky, Cewerî now gives us his own Raskolnikov.

Forty-two years old and recently released after fifteen years of torture and imprisonment, Temo lives in a cramped house with his dying mother.
