I'm so glad this is being covered. This issue persists after every patch as well which makes it not just the first time, but constant as the game patches every other week. I play just enough that every time I want to play it is the worst gaming experience.

I've longed for Riot to expand on The Boy Who Shattered Time, and they took their sweet time to do it. I'm so glad it's finally here.

I've seen this in the Genshin Impact community as well, but this behavior is across all the blind-box/gambling communities. It feels like a parasocial influence, folks wanting to be a part of the fun and not minding paying extra to see the results live on-air.
