I totally get you! I'm trying to navigate this too when I'm home with my family. My entire family still refers to me in feminine terms (妹/姐etc.), but I've been telling my younger cousins to just call me by my name instead

I've read this article written by @yolingwrites.bsky.social that I feel helps a bit. I think perhaps one way to teach is to not assume and ask the NB person how they would prefer to be called.
