Hey. I don’t post here much. Just felt inspired. Fall is beautiful. The rule of law is vital to our survival as a nation. Both are on my mind these days.

Hey, it’s spring. So at least there’s that.

NOAA and the US National Weather Services are of vital importance to people who may experience life-threatening weather (my brother in Hawaii, friends on the Gulf coast), firefighters, fisherfolk, skiers and so so so many more. Oregon’s economy runs on NOAA’s data. www.opb.org/article/2025...
Ousted NOAA workers join US Sen. Murray to denounce cuts as the agency braces for more firings
Like many federal agencies, employees at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration were laid off in recent weeks. Former staff members are speaking out before there are more cuts.

Staying off the other apps today, but I needed to share: I saw a hammerhead shark’s head last night! COCC had it on display for a school’s STEM night. (I was there for work, but sometimes work is this cool!!!)

This is the way. Hey folks—NOAA is important to all of us. Call your elected officials and tell them so. Weather reporting, modeling, predicting. Important for hurricanes, fisherfolk, skiers, building code writers, EVERYONE.

I went skiing today, and there were two National Forest employees cleaning out the snow blocking the outhouse doors. I appreciate them and all our federal employees. Their treatment by this administration is detestable. Call your elected officials. Support USAID, NOAA, and all our federal employees.

Trying to add content to this new platform! Thank you federal employees for making my day better. This is Forest Service land and I appreciate having access to my public lands. #publiclands

Even in the coldest months of winter, there are flowers. I hope this truth can apply to points of light in our darkest hours. (Hellebore/hellebores niger, Jacob)
