If it doesnt become victim to a significant fire over the next decade, I'd be v surprised. Decanting and relocating parliament is a missed opportunity by Labour but it does not surprise me.

Aside from the urgency of fixing the fabric (the inevitability of a significant fire is high), decanting & relocating Parliament is such an opportunity (esp if to different part of the country, but hell, even to QEII centre ACROSS THE ROAD would be a good contrast), if messaging well constructed.

The sloppy dismissiveness of how he communicated seems deliberate. Its v 'this is a waste of my time but I'll throw a crumb'. So why was he so appealing? Seems as basic as access to girls, proximity to silly wealth & crucial role played by GM. No genuine charisma or even likeability required.

this is great news, the jubilee line is really quite something, such a characterful and deliberate aesthetic which Southwark is such a good example of.
