Trump slashes budget for and dismantles "Voice of America" , claiming it left-wing. Putin must be gleeful. As an aside, I was once interviewed by VOA and saw the video appear in multiple languages and countries around the world... Now voices are silenced.

Apparently, in response to Trump’s executive order banning DEI initiatives, the Pentagon’s intel agency has paused all special event programs & related events. So… NO Black History Month, NO Juneteenth, NO Pride, NO Holocaust Days of Remembrance , for example.Here is the January 28th memo.

All the controllers at a muni airport near San Jose Mineta International have quit as of today because the FAA has rescinded their contracts & offered lower pay that is unsustainable to live in the Bay Area. There are no longer any controllers operating at this important hub for local traffic.
