avoid another trump. as the mother of a trans child and other friends/family of marginalized communities, it feels like betrayal.

so, reaching out for opinions, wondering how i would feel if i were part of the group getting screwed over and someone i loved voted for them.

i agree that local is extremely important - just look at all that Leonard Leo has been able to accomplish over the years. and it's not about Harris v Trump. i am just struggling with the thought of having to vote for someone who would deny marginalized groups equal protections/rights, in order to

because in the long run, the majority would be better off?

if someone were to tell me they voted for candidate X, who will treat me as an unequal, lesser person, but the majority of the country will be better off than if candidate Y had won...would i be ok with that?

on board with your comments on Harris. i voted for Harris. i'm just seeing a lot of 'Blue no matter who', etc., and asking myself:

if the blue candidate is advocating for a policy or law that denies human rights to a marginalized group, can/should i vote for someone who would cause them harm,

aren't the ones who would be losing freedoms? this is where i struggle. when voting against big evil requires the marginalization of 'not us'. so i sit with questions like: would i give up my right to hold a job or get an education, if it meant getting rid of trump? because *maybe* i could have
