AI is great at systems level thinking and modelling across various datasets and pulling apart patterns. Cancer is the perfect example of a complex cascading failure network that AI is just far better at modelling than humans.

AI is already making big strides in cancer detection and is better at spotting breast cancers than humans, and far earlier. It will certainly improve health outcomes one day. Cure? Who knows. It's a promising field though.

It unsettles me that people are hoping that a technology aimed at curing cancer will fail. Rather than shooting it down, you'd think people would be trying to attract investment to something like that.
