Now that S2 is over, permit me to get emotional on main. I really love Hazbin Hotel, and I love it for the reasons I suspect other people like to call it cringe or whatever. It's sincere, it's unapologetically queer and campy, and it doesn't couch itself in layers of painfully ironic self-awareness.

Well, lost my job due to funding cuts and now I'm just sitting here sad and without a distraction from Finale Madness. Was hoping it would give me more time to draw but funnily enough it's just killed my motivation. Who'd have guessed! Idk I just need an idea I guess.

Feel like Charlie's arc is gonna involve her coming to terms with *Lucifer's* trauma. She doesn't understand what he's been through to make him this way, which isn't really her fault! Lucifer seems to have sheltered her from it (think the heavenly spear imagery in More Than Anything). #HazbinHotelS2

When approaching Lucifer I wanted to lean into the Fallen Angel side of him. He wasn't a bad guy, he was a dreamer who fell in love and defied an unjust system. He isn't a tyrannical evil ruler, he's a cosmic being trapped in what is considered his greatest mistake. He was beautiful and prideful!
