When I was younger and we went over the border to France, there were still a lot of older folks speaking this language, or rather 'low german' to a point my parents could fluidly speak to them and vice versa.

I put up all of my three christmas villages and assorted decorations up already, too. We're also annoying our neighbour with our brightly illuminated tree outside. Heh.
