Mornin' bsky! Final day of Nibs' Rose. Thank you again for the inspiration. Color limits are fun, but no idea how I will manage it for an entire thing. I love detailed on top of simple, of using leaf and stem tones in the background. Like nature's pairing even if I don't agree with it.

Mornin' bsky. I have taken this one as far as I plan to for now. Here is the Purple Galaxy Petunia. 128x128, 20 colors. I deviated from the reference image most in the background. I'm starting to like the idea of the foreground being as real as possible, and the background being abstract.

Mornin' bsky! 64x64 chair is done in that I am not working on it any more. Lessons learned: upholstered furniture at weird angels is way harder with pixels than low poly or photorealistic. Allowing myself about 5-10 more color options could have made a big difference.

Mornin, bsky. Today's communion with sprites is a 64x64 pixel image with the following rules: must stick to reference image, only 10 colors, less than 30 min. Forcing myself to adhere to rules helps me appreciate times when I can break out of them.

Good Morning, bsky. Today's communion with sprites is a 64 x 64 pixel image of my cats. I forced myself to stick to only 10 colors and to let the reference image take the lead. Not complete, however, the point of these exercises for me is to let go of perfection and commit to trying and sharing.

Mornin' bsky. Finished yesterday's pixel vase. I try to set rules for myself with each sprite, like "no deviating from the palette" or "trust the reference image" but then end up breaking them. Which is ok, but I am trying to practice with limitations.
