By T. Kleinfeld The murder of Charlie Kirk, a high-profile conservative figure, was rightly met with instant condemnation across the political spectrum. Leaders on the left and the right spoke with urgency and sorrow, underlining the seriousness of violence directed at a public figure. That kind of universal and immediate outrage felt appropriate—and necessary.   But while the nation was debating Kirk’s murder, there was another school shooting today.
