Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror (1998)
The casting is good for the adults but bad for the children. The film got really boring in the middle. The last 25 minutes was so cheesy but so entertaining although the finale was an anticlimax.

Children of the Corn IV: The Gathering (1996)
This is fairly well made. It’s far less entertaining than all the others in the franchise. The fake-out nightmares are tedious. The whole film is just a forgettable and generic slasher but not bad.

Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest (1995)
The story is basic with memorable characters. It’s probably the most memorable of the whole franchise. It’s gory and lots going on. The dolls in the finale look so stupid. This is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Children of the Corn II: The Final Sacrifice (1992)
The story carries on from the previous film unimaginatively, it’s just the surviving children doing more of the same in a new town. Pretty average film overall. The finale was excellent, very exciting.

Children of the Corn (1984)
They cut away from the gore, all the good stuff was off-camera except the car hit which was actually shocking. The casting is excellent and so is the music. The story doesn’t sustain the runtime, but the final act is excellent.

Disciples of the Crow (1983)
I didn’t hate it and it showed a lot of potential but it is flawed. The cast is so uninspiring. There is plenty of macabre imagery. The crow/corn knife prop is awesome. The ending is very abrupt.

Drunken Arts & Crippled Fist (1979)
The action is good and entertaining enough. An adequate cheesy martial arts action film with shockingly bad acting, dubbing and story but this only adds to the silliness. Don’t expect anything stunning.

Cujo (1983)
The effects were the worst of the eighties where you see nothing as it happens off-camera and then you see that person lying down with some fake blood over them. Unless you are afraid of dogs then maybe you will be able to relate to the fear.

The Devil's Rejects (2005)
This was not as good as House of 1000 Corpses (2003). It followed the same ideas but just didn’t seem to pack the punch. Giving the killers more depth would have helped. Style and noisy music don’t make a great film.

The Fifth Element (1997)
I absolutely love this film, it gets better with age! It’s so engaging, perfectly paced, fantastic casting and memorable characters. It’s funny and so entertaining. Even the effects have aged quite well. Don’t miss this gem.

The Crow: Wicked Prayer (2005)
It’s a film made by anti-creative businesses, who stick famous people in a movie with a recognisable property and make something devoid of any creativity. It’s about as bad as a film can be, especially in the final act.

The Crow: Salvation (2001)
This was not as bad as I was expecting. I appreciate that they told a different story. The great tone is gone, I blame the direction for that loss. I didn’t feel like I wasted my time unlike the previous entry to the franchise.

The Crow: City of Angels (1996)
If The Crow (1994) didn’t exist then this would be a perfectly average film, it’s an interesting idea and great style. But as it’s a direct copy of the original with much worse acting this is a well below average film.

City of the Living Dead (1980)
There was absolutely no attempt to make this film good. They made it gory instead. They managed to throw in a maggot rainfall! Head drilling, amazing ending, maggots, pointless story and a creepy priest, you got all of that!

Candyman 3: Day of the Dead (1999)
Donna D’Errico is probably the worst lead actress I’ve ever seen. It started bad and degraded into total farce. They didn’t even try to explain how he came back after the last film. Waste of time.

Candyman: Farewell to the Flesh (1995)
It is far less engaging, partially due to badly done jump scares. For all the negatives I love the filmmaking, it’s the timeless nineties style, not the dated nineties. Good ambitions but not as good as the original.

Candyman (1992)
This is a beautifully made horror in every way with some minor flaws. These don’t affect the enjoyment of the film. The music is excellent, the acting is brilliant, the story is brooding and engrossing. It’s subtler than Hellraiser (1987).

The Prowler (1981)
This is probably one of the better slashers of the eighties. All of the elements are there: plenty of people getting killed off in bloody gory ways, a masked killer and a twist (that I found predictable but I didn’t mind).

Psycho (1998)
What is the point? It has all the faults of the original with some new ones added in like the casting being worse. If you’ve not seen the original and don’t know the story then this may be watchable otherwise it’s totally pointless.

Psycho IV: The Beginning (1990)
It’s more like a slasher film with lots of explaining about his growing up and not many people dying. The whole film lacks tension. The writing is so dull and unimaginative. At least the franchise has a conclusive ending.

Psycho III (1986)
There is no energy in the room twelve incident which should have been thrilling, in general actually there’s almost no tension. Overall it’s really not good at all, considering it’s the shortest of the franchise it’s the most boring.

Psycho II (1983)
It’s an interesting story and actually a good continuation of the original film but the pacing is not good. The stabbings are significantly better, really horrible to watch. It’s a fine film, average, less polarising than the first film.

Psycho (1960)
This is a great but flawed movie. I’m really torn on this film, I have really extreme opinions about different aspects. It’s an excellent story but when you know the ending it loses the impact and repeat watching is less engaging.

Ranking Quantic Dream’s Games
It’s not often I can say that I’ve played all of a developer’s games. They are mostly great and this is how I rank them.
Detroit: Become Human
Beyond: Two Souls
Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy
Heavy Rain
Omikron: The Nomad Soul

Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954)
It’s so repetitive. It hasn’t aged well. The creature’s hand just keeps slowly reaching but the costume is really cool. If you want to watch something similar, watch Anaconda (1997) or Frankenfish (2004) instead.
