Odd this isn’t a bigger story. Means China has done (or close to) effective cost down engineering across the semiconductor stack needed for Ai. Huge implications.

Humans are easily duped as well🤷🏽♀️. These models can accomplish complex tasks but it’s the really simple things they struggle with. Karpathy had a nice write up about it. wouldn’t be surprised if this paradox is solved soon— the self awareness part, who knows. Also see demos re:Deepseek reasoning.

It’s a pity that Biden/Harris failed to effectively communicate how successfully they guided the US economy from the brink of a recession and outperformed the rest the world.
