Please be extra kind to your pets, healthcare workers, shelter workers, and vetmeds of every field - including in the labs. This is such a hard job, and often thankless, but we do it because of how much we care and want to help people and animals. I am proud of the work I do, even if it makes me sad

This is just such a reminder of how she could have just as easily ended up in the same situation as this poor baby. I am so so grateful that my cat found her way into my arms. I at least hope this other poor little baby that found her way to me has found peace.

She looked so peaceful, like she was asleep and would wake up any minute. I've been doing rabies testing for almost two years now, but some cases will always hit me just a little too hard. My cat was a little stray calico kitten who was caught and dumped at 4 weeks.
