They also skip Cyril mistaking The Silent Witch for a monster with how expertly she nullified his attacks on her, and his delirium making him throw his safety to the wayside to hurt her for taking his brooch. At the same time they shake off Neros hero moment of taking the brooch in favor of comedy.

This internalized for the reader how she has a deeply rooted trauma that developed her numbers obsession and is an indicator to how she turned into who she is when we meet her in the novel. And the anime just SKIPS it. It felt so core to the narrative and it's not there.

The thing that was the biggest disservice was that she dissociated so deeply that even when the girl secretary struck her with a fan, she felt the pain and fell deeper into her "trance" and Nero comments only a soft sensation like his paws can break her out. Felix pecks her on her hurt cheek to help

One of the core scenes I felt they skipped over was one that appears to have been skipped in ep 3 actually. It had to do with Monica correcting past records for the student council. She got into a dissociated headspace and all of the other SC members didnt know what she was there for and bullied her

My favorite bit is that some of the seemingly minor details come back as a plot point. For example, the Fibonacci sequence is integrated into the conclusion. As of episode 4 of the anime, it's completed LN1. I really liked ep1-3 but after reading LN1; Ep4 is a letdown with how it rushed the content

So I finished this yesterday and 6 comment. Very good novel and has a well constructed narrative. The afterword was also very enlightening to the flow of the book. The author says the WN was constructed as an ongoing narrative, and it was difficult to split it up into novels for the publication.

Absolutely agree. I'm anime only right now, but the things about Chinatsu that Taiki likes are distinct from Hina. Namely, Taiki likes that Chinatsu has her senpai vibe, juxtaposed to her spacey and childish side, and it's just endearing for him. Hina, it feels like just has a childish side to him.

I read the Blue Box Manga throughout today. I love the art for it, it has a lot of focus on faces and body language, and the intentions of the internal speech are more noticable compared to the anime. I like this series a lot.
