I think there 2 more that can be add to this:
1: Have a PDF converter on the desktop with instruction on using design for children (lots of picture with arrows and circles)
2. Don't allow programs (exe bat msi etc.) to run from appdata as this will fizzle out a lot of ransomware/email viruses.

The only logic I can think up for it is the loft was it own thing over the whole bathroom and the stair railing was a wall with a door making the bathroom it own reasonable room, but the owner want to inflate the bathroom size so now you can puke from the stair in to the toilet.

I you see out the window there only a roof there, which mean this is a 2nd floor bathroom with a 3rd floor loft.
