You do realise that many books don't have an Afterword and have the About the Author at the beginning, right? And in any case, it is still something that happens after the narrative end of the story.

Tbf I don't know if the transition from Act 2 to Act 3 has credits, although from what I know, narratively speaking, it does flow from Act 2 to Act 3, since there's a linking quest that points towards something beyond Act 2.

As someone said already, movies do have post credit scenes and books literally have epilogues ALL THE TIME.

Opinion, of course, but the way you're phrasing it is rather insulting towards the devs, imo. Silksong is build in such a way that taking all Act 3 away would be an awful game design choice altogether. And I'm saying this without having reached the Act 3 yet.

I don't think it's annoying at all, Silksong does it because it has an epilogue and a system with different endings and for one I'm happy that there is at least a game out there exploring what happens to the world when you actually end the final boss, you know. You're entitled to your own>>

I mean, I think the concept of post game goes well with this. You have the main story with its own final boss and then some sort of epilogue.
