Ah so my brother wasn't mad at me for how I talked to mom, he was mad at me because he's transphobic and my wife wore a dress to the last meal we had together.
Not like he literally had years to ask questions, or voice concern, or do research.

When I couldn't sleep last night I suddenly felt the urge to write several poems. Well 9 actually. They're all rather short, and likely need some editing now that's it day time, but interesting.

I am struggling to sleep...thus instead I think of all the amazing moments recently in which I've been brought to tears with the love from my community and found family.

The bad part about Edmonton is it's sooooooo wide. It feels silly travelling all the way back up north (45 min with traffic) to come back down in 5.5 hours to get my wife from work, but then I have to find something to do for 5.5 hours in South Edmonton Commons for 5.5 hours...

Six weeks ago, I picked up a year-old tawny owl with a broken leg off the main road near our home and dropped him off at our nearest vet.

So we got to Edmonton to find that the motel we had prebooked, having called to confirm they accept cats, didn't have a room for us because we have cats. They didn't even immediately give us a refund.
