Generally dull overcast day at Southbourne today. However, a brief 10 minutes of sun had a few butterflies emerging, including this fresh Small Copper. @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social

Pics of Sour Fig - Carpobrotus edulis a none native plant currently choking several areas of the transect undercliff. Some management has taken place by the BCP Seafront team, but it's proving difficult to control.

Week 3 at the transect, a brief weather window allowed me to complete the walk. Easterly breeze reduced butterfly numbers. Caught site of this Small Copper, one of four keeping low to the ground. @dorsetbutterflies.bsky.social
