countless oftware projects use it, no matter for what is was meant initially. Mentioning CC was just a quick example i had in my mind. However, Creative Commons licenses share some similarities with open-source licenses, especially regarding the freedom to use, modify, and distribute content.

teh cad is shared on github which has its own file history. so if you want any odler version you can get it. Also, jsut sayin, open source can absolutely be non commercial like the Creative Common Licence for example. Open Source and non commercial is definitly a thing since basically always

and comparing ratrigs situation to bambu and claiming the same could happen is jsut absolutly wrong since ratrig doesnt control the software. thats a situation that never can happen, no matter how many wike links you are sharing

every user is able and allowed to modify and reshare all of the ratrig hardware. jsut bc you are not allowed to sell the custom 2d metall parts doesnt mean its not open source

also please consider this. the only parts that are not off the shelf parts, are 2d metall plates. and they are shared as well. there jut do not exists any timelines for the off the shelf parts bc we did not designed them.

sorry, but we share the Fusion projects we created during development. everyone is free to use them, change them and republish them as aling as its not for commercial purposes

You wont have any of these probems with RatRig. They deliver only the Hardware Kit. The software is a private open source project called RatOS and runs klipper which is open source as well. You are just not allowed to sell the custom metall parts without license.

sorry, but thats wrong. RatRig is open source and. shares all the CAD work. You can be open source and non commercial. All software and hardware is openly accessible.
