Question is, for whom? Rich people, yes. The poor? getting arrested for no reason, taking their houses for building unecessary airports, taking their only method of income, stealing 80% of their pensions, reducing budget for public health and education, approving mining that will kill people? no

Well, I live in el salvador, and have seen more than a couple of people getting out of jail after years of investigation. They even arrested a kid who could not speak because the police thought he was doing "gang signs", when he was just trying to speak sign language. State of emergency in SV allows

Except not all of those prisoners are convicted for gang related murders. Some are just there while an investigation is being made and released years after not finding any proof.
