I went to see my old Dad 17 days ago for French food and music and I still have Edith Piaf in my head singing La Vie En Rose. That is one long running ear worm.

Really wise words from the brilliant Lynda E. Rucker. This is well worth a read, wherever you have got to in the writing journey.

Very loud fireworks. The dog is in the back garden looking rather bemused and occasionally barking back.

On the way to St. Andrews today, the dog threw up in the car. She seemed fine afterwards and consumed a sausage and a puppuccino.
On the way home from St. Andrews, daughter got a migraine and also threw up in the car.

Seen as it looks like I won't have a main job for a while (and seen as I haven't been paid anything since September) if you'd like to support the work that I do through Romancing the Gothic, you can!

You can also buy courses (in case you didn't know!)

Saw an exhibition of Ken Currie figurative paintings in Glasgow, several years back. Very powerful. His work seems to have changed from hard edged allegorical pieces, through to ghostly and sometimes translucent figures. Great work.

I have been out for ONE DAY. Daughter did not eat the lunch I left for her. She had OH's lunch so Lord knows what he had. And they have run out of milk!!! How? I bought some yesterday and more is being delivered tomorrow. I think OH is bathing in it like bloody Cleopatra.

2 days ago I was driving up the hill when I saw a bloke who looked exactly like Gandalf, with a long grey beard and carrying a pilgrim's staff. He was carrying something remarkably like a packet of Co-op salted popcorn. I guess they don't have popcorn in the Shire so he nipped over to get some.
